It’s an easy 15 minute walk from Westbourne, mostly downhill through the Dingle and across Bournemouth Gardens, with just a gentle rise up Dorset Road at the end. By car, it’s about 5 minutes from the LV roundabout, round the one-way system and under the railway bridge on Prince of Wales Road, past the Three Gables Nursery, to the lights at Branksome Wood Road and Glenferness Avenue. By bus, routes 36, 450 and 736 all stop at Glenferness Avenue Bottom, one road from the clinic. There’s free parking both on the street and on the driveway directly outside with no parking meters, no traffic wardens and no stress.

A lot of Westbourne patients are families who leave the car at home and walk down to the coast from there, carrying a beach bag on one shoulder and/ or a child on the hip and this habit tends to show up as neck, shoulder and rotator cuff strain , often with a cervicogenic headache along for the ride. Home workers are another regular group of patients, sofas and kitchen chairs don’t offer the support of a proper office chair, and I see a lot of sciatica and lumbar pain as a result, often from a tight piriformis compressing the sciatic nerve. And with so much of Westbourne on foot, prolonged standing on hard pavements in unsupportive shoes brings the usual pattern of collapsed arches, plantar fasciitis and knock-on knee and hip pain.
I’m Leslie Budzynski, a GCC-registered chiropractor (No. 00043) and BCA member (No. 0072) with 39 years of clinical experience. I qualified from what’s now Health Sciences University (then AECC) in 1987, and ran my own practice and satellite clinics in London before moving to Bournemouth in 2000. Bournemouth Chiropractic is a single-practitioner clinic so I see and treat every patient myself, at every appointment.
No referral needed. Chiropractors are primary contact practitioners. We are the same status as your GP or dentist so you can book directly. If we find something during your assessment that needs to go back to your GP or another specialist or practitioner, we will ask your permission to get in touch with them.
The first chiropractic appointment takes around 45 minutes and most of it is conversation before any treatment starts. Leslie takes a detailed case history, asks the right questions and does a thorough physical assessment including orthopaedic and neurological testing. Most patients are surprised by how much better they feel just from having someone properly listen and examine what has been going on. By the end you will have a clear explanation of what is wrong, a treatment plan with honest timescales and in most cases your first treatment will already have started.
Bournemouth Chiropractic is a short, 15 minute stroll from the centre of Westbourne, mostly downhill through the Dingle and across Bournemouth Gardens. By car, about five minutes from the LV roundabout. Once you reach Branksome Hill Road in BH4, parking is free and plentiful right outside the building. No ticket machines, no traffic wardens, no circling the block, just swing into the driveway.
Every patient is different, but most people notice a meaningful improvement within three to six sessions. At your first appointment I will give you an honest assessment of what we are dealing with and a realistic picture of how long it is likely to take. We do not believe in patients coming back longer than they need to, the goal is to get you better and get you back to doing the things you enjoy.
